Gaby Coronado was born in Méxicao. She studied Chemical Engineering. The Arts always interested her since then. When she lived in VEnezuela (1995-2001), she developed a passion for ceramics. The School "Taller y Escuela Arte y Fuego" in Caracas became her second home. She experimented with multple techniques related with firing, glazing, and sculpture. She studied under prestigious Venezuelan artists like Candido Millan, Beatriz Plaza, Naty Valle, Ingrid Schweitzer, Carlos Finales, and Elisabeth Wischeropp.
She moved to Cincinnatti, Ohio, and continued studying ceramics at the Art Academy of Cincinnatti and she was a member of the Clay Alliance. She participated in different clay fairs and juried exhibitions.
Now she is resident in Connecticut. Gaby is a member of The Connecticut Clay Artists.
The majority of her pieces are hand-built. Her work is both functional and decorative.
