  • Cash5 costs $1 per wager.  Add the "KICKER" option for an additional $.50 per wager to increase your chance to win more often and win more prize levels.
  • Fill in a Cash5 playslip by choosing 5 different numbers from 1 to 35.  Or, ask for a Cash5 “Quick Pick” and let the lottery terminal randomly pick your numbers.
  • To play Cash5 with Kicker, fill in a Cash5 playslip by choosing 5 different numbers from 1 to 35.  Mark "YES" KICKER and select 1 additional number that is different from the other numbers selected.  Or, ask for a Cash5 “Quick Pick with KICKER” and let the lottery terminal randomly pick your numbers. For more information about the Kicker, see example below* or click here.
  • Cash5 tickets cannot be voided; once printed there is no way to cancel them.  Please be sure to check your ticket carefully after purchasing to make sure it is what you requested.

    *Kicker Active Example:
    Cash5 numbers printed on your ticket: 5-10-14-16-30 K: 12 Y
    Winning Cash5 numbers drawn: 5-12-14-16-30
Because your Kicker number (12) was activated (Y=Yes) on your ticket, and it matched one of the 5 winning numbers drawn, it can be used for a 4 number + Kicker match prize.

  • ADVANCE ACTION:  Buy tickets for future Cash5 drawings with the ADVANCE ACTION option. Play up to 28 consecutive drawings in advance. When playing ADVANCE ACTION, fill out only one board (set of numbers) per playslip. (i.e. To play four sets of numbers in advance, fill out four separate playslips.)
  • REPLAY:  To play your numbers again, hand the Lottery Retailer your Cash5 ticket and ask for a REPLAY.  You will get a new Cash5 ticket with the same numbers and wager amount. Your new ticket will have the REPLAY “R” printed on it.

CASH5 FAQs

Cash5 drawings are held nightly at approximately 10:29 PM.  Watch the drawings live on WCCT-TV (Channel 20).  To view a drawing after the drawing has occurred CLICK HERE.

Wagering closes at 10:20 PM and reopens at 10:46 PM.

Using a playslip saves time and will ensure that the numbers you selected are the ones played.  A playslip can produce up to 5 plays at $1 per play (or $1.50 with the Kicker), and can be saved and reused for regular weekly purchases.

Yes, just ask for a Quick Pick ticket.

Cash5 tickets cannot be cancelled; once printed there is no way to cancel it. Please be sure to check your ticket carefully after purchasing to make sure it is what you requested.

Yes, tickets can be purchased up to 28 consecutive drawings in advance. Simply select the ADVANCE ACTION box on the playslip or ask the Lottery Retailer for Advance Action at the time of purchase.  When playing Advance Action fill out only one board (set of numbers) per playslip.  (i.e. To play four sets of numbers in advance, fill out four separate playslips.)

The overall odds of winning Cash5 are 1 in 72.1.  The overall odds of winning Cash5 with Kicker are 1 in 12.1.  The odds of winning the Top Prize are 1 in 324,632.

No, as long as the numbers drawn are listed on your ticket in a single row, it does not matter what order they are drawn.  The Kicker number, however, must be ACTIVE in order to be used as a match.

You do not have to wait to cash in a winning Cash5 ticket when you play Advance Action. To claim your prize, present your ticket to any Lottery Retailer. They will cash your ticket, and give you an Exchange Ticket in place of your original ticket. Your Exchange Ticket will be valid for the remaining number of active drawings on the ticket.

When an activated Kicker number matches one of the five (5) winning numbers drawn, it can be used for a prize match.

  • There are 5 winning numbers drawn in every Cash5 drawing, however, each ticket is printed with six (6) different numbers (the sixth number in the far-right position is your ticket's Kicker number).
  • When an additional $.50 is paid at the time of purchase, your Kicker number becomes Active (Y) and can be used to try and match one of the 5 winning numbers drawn.
  • If the Kicker is Not Active (N), it can't be used to match and win. A Kicker that is active will have a "Y" next to the KICKER number and the message at the bottom of the ticket will read "KICKER ACTIVE."
  • A Kicker number that has not be activated cannot be used for a prize match.  (An unactivated Kicker will have a "N" next to the KICKER number and the message at the bottom of the ticket will read "KICKER NOT ACTIVE.")

Cash5 is a "pari-mutuel" game, which means that all prize winners share equally in the available prize pool monies.  The money that's available in the prize pool is based upon daily ticket sales.  If ticket sales are not sufficient, the prize pool is divided equally, top prize winners will receive less than $100,000 for their win, and all other prize levels in that game will also experience reduced payouts for that drawing.
