How to Play Play3 with Wild Ball

Play3 offers chances to win prizes from $14 up to $2,500 every day and night! Twice a day the Lottery draws three numbers that you can try to match. If you match them, you win.

Play3 is played in $.50 increments, beginning at $.50 up to $5.00 per wager. Adding the Wild Ball feature DOUBLES the cost of your wager.

You can select the numbers that you want to play by filling out a playslip. Or ask for a Play3 Day or Night "Quick Pick" to let the Lottery terminal randomly pick your numbers for you.

There are several different ways to wager in Play3
- STRAIGHT: Choose three single-digit numbers from 0 to 9 in the order that you think they will be drawn by the Lottery. Match the three numbers drawn by the Lottery EXACTLY to win.
- BOX: Choose three single-digit numbers from 0 to 9 that you think will be drawn by the Lottery. Match the three numbers drawn by the Lottery in ANY ORDER to win.
- STRAIGHT/BOX: Choose three single-digit numbers from 0 to 9 that you think will be drawn by the Lottery. Your ticket will have both a STRAIGHT wager (match the three numbers drawn exactly) and a BOX wager (match the three numbers drawn in any order). You can win on BOTH wagers! Straight/Box wagers are only played in even dollar amounts.
- PAIRS: Choose two single-digit numbers from 0 to 9 in the order that you think they will be drawn by the Lottery. You can play the FRONT pair (first two of three numbers), the BACK pair (last two of three numbers) or the SPLIT pair (first and last of three numbers). Match those two numbers to the numbers drawn by the Lottery EXACTLY to win.
- COMBO: Choose three single-digit numbers from 0 to 9. Your ticket will automatically play those numbers in all possible number combinations, all on one ticket. Match one of the combinations to the three numbers drawn by the Lottery EXACTLY to win. Combo wagers are only played in $0.50 and $1.00 amounts.
Play3 tickets can be voided when printed by a Retailer's Lottery terminal. Play3 tickets cannot be voided when printed by a Lottery Vending Machine. Once printed from a Lottery Vending Machine, there is no way to cancel them.
ADVANCE ACTION: Buy tickets for future Play3 drawings with the ADVANCE ACTION option. Play up to 7 consecutive drawings in advance.
REPLAY: To play your numbers again, hand the Lottery Retailer your existing Play3 ticket and ask for a REPLAY. You will get a new Play3 ticket with the same numbers and wager amount. Your new ticket will have the REPLAY “R” printed on it. (NOTE: REPLAY is NOT available on Advance Day tickets.)

Add Wild Ball

Wild Ball is an add-on feature that gives you more ways to win!
One Wild Ball Number (0-9) will be drawn after the Play3 number is drawn. A separate Wild Ball number will be drawn for Play4.
The Wild Ball does not replace a number on your ticket. It replaces one of the numbers drawn by the Lottery.
Wild Ball doubles the cost of your wager and can only be added at time of purchase.

Play3 Day wagering closes at 1:45 PM and reopens at 2:01 PM. Play3 Night wagering closes at 10:20 PM and reopens at 10:46 PM.

Using a playslip saves time and will ensure that the numbers you selected are the ones played. A playslip can produce up to 5 plays, and can be saved and reused for regular weekly purchases.

Yes, just ask for a Quick Pick ticket.

Wild Ball is an add-on feature that gives you more chances to win. One Wild Ball number (0-9) will be drawn after each drawing. The Wild Ball number can replace any one of the numbers drawn to create winning combinations. The Wild Ball number does not replace a number on your ticket. It replaces one of the numbers drawn by the Lottery. The Wild Ball doubles the cost of your wager and can only be added at time of purchase.

Play3 Day and Play3 Night tickets may be cancelled ONLY by the Retailer's lottery terminal where the ticket was printed, and only BEFORE the pool for that drawing is closed. Play3 tickets cannot be cancelled when printed by a Lottery Vending Machine. Once printed there is no way to cancel them.

Yes, tickets can be purchased up to 7 consecutive drawings in advance. Simply select the ADVANCE ACTION box on the playslip or ask the Lottery Retailer for Advance Action at the time of purchase. When playing Advance Action, fill out one board (set of numbers) per playslip. (i.e. To play four sets of numbers in advance, fill out four separate playslips.)

You do not have to wait to cash in a winning Play3 ticket when you play Advance Action. To claim your prize, present your ticket to any Lottery Retailer. They will cash your ticket, and give you an Exchange Ticket in place of your original ticket. Your Exchange Ticket will be valid for the remaining number of active drawings on the ticket.

To win a STRAIGHT prize, pick three numbers to match the winning numbers drawn - in exact order. To win a BOX prize, pick three numbers to match the winning numbers drawn - in any order.

To win a FRONT, BACK or SPLIT PAIR wager, the player picks only two numbers (at the time of purchase) to match two of the three winning numbers drawn - in exact order. When a Pair wager is made, an X will print on your ticket in the position where no number match is required for a prize win. An example of a Pair wager for the numbers 6 and 2 are:

A Play3 "Combo" wager is when three different digits are automatically played Straight in all possible number combinations all on one ticket

The Lottery cannot exceed paying out more than $7,950,00.00 for a specific number combination. If the liability threshold is met, the Lottery limits sales of that number combination. The liability for Play3 Day and Play3 Night has been set at $7,950,000.00 per draw.
